ETHICAL STATEMENT

I am fair and honest and treat all of my customers and suppliers with respect. I take great care to describe each of my products accurately and use either the suppliers photographs or clear pictures that I have taken myself. I actively work to minimise my environmental footprint by reusing packing materials, and wherever possible buying materials that can be recycled or are degradable.

SAFETY AND USAGE

All products have been chosen with safety in mind. Age recommendations have been given within the item description. It is for the adult and educational provider to risk assess resources and activities based upon the individual needs of the children who will use them. All play should be supervised by a responsible adult.

Tinker trays, treasure baskets and loose part play sets are by their very nature functional everyday household items, and as such will not all have a CE mark. The Toy Safety Directive lists an exclusion from the CE marking requirements for “products intended for use for educational purposes in schools and other pedagogical contexts under the surveillance of an adult instructor.” These products are not considered to be toys within the meaning of the Toy Safety Directive.

 

DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY STATEMENT

I am committed to safeguarding the privacy of my customers. The information that I collect from you will always be held securely. Personal information held is directly related to your purchase from Tinker Tray Play or to your registration for a Tinker Tray Play subscription, or any other information that you may choose to send me, for example a review.  Reviews that are used on the website will remain on there indefinitely. Other information will be held for the required amount of time to satisfy all legal responsibilities and will then be deleted.

When you visit the site, it automatically collects certain information about your device including information about your web browser, IP address, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, it collects information about the pages you view and the search terms you use and how you interact with the site. This information is used to improve and optimise your shopping experience and to create analytics.

When you make a purchase, or attempt to make a purchase through the site, it collects certain information from you including your name, billing and shipping address, payment information, email address and phone number. This information is collected to enable me to fulfil your order allowing me to process your payment, arrange a shipping service and communicate with you if necessary. If your item contains a direct delivery item then this information will be passed on to the supplier to allow them to fulfil your order and arrange a shipping service.

I use a third party (Google Analytics) to provide me with the analytics based on website usage.

I use a third party (Mailchimp) for my email marketing. Customers can opt in to the mailing list via the homepage or at checkout to receive news, promotions and general communications. They also send automated emails to my customers using cookies, for example an abandoned shopping cart email. It is easy to unsubscribe at any time. A link to do so will be in the footer of every email sent and cookies can be disabled on your browser.

I use a third party (Trust Pilot) to collect independent reviews from customers. They have access to customer contact details and will send automated emails asking for feedback.

If you are a school or nursery setting and would like to pay by invoice you can email your purchase order to me at tinkertrayplay@hotmail.com or place your order via the webiste and select the ‘Bank Transfer for Schools and Settings’ option. I will then invoice you for your order and dispatch your items once payment has been made.

Klarna financing gives you the option to start paying for your goods after you have received them. The first time you choose to buy with Financing, you will be asked to apply for a Klarna Account at the checkout phase. They will then carry out an affordability assessment. If you are approved they will then create your account. If you already have a Klarna account the order amount of any purchases you make with the Financing option will be added to your total balance, provided the new purchase does not take you over your available credit limit. Payment information is processed securely by Klarna. All transactions take place via secure connections secured protected with the latest industry standard security protocols. To use Instalments you must be at least 18. Whilst this option is widely promoted, Instalments is subject to your financial circumstances.

LOYALTY POINTS

Loyalty Points are earned by purchasing products. You will earn 1 point for every £1 spent.

Additional points can be gained by completing product reviews on the website. You will earn 10 points for each product review. These must be items you have purchased. 

100 points can be redeemed for £1 discount.

Points have no cash value and will expire after a 12mth period.

A Tinker Tray Play account is needed to collect points. This is where you will see your points totals.

Points can be used as discount on purchases.

Double point promotions will be advertised on instagram and facebook at various times throughout the year.
